Default What to wear?? - 20-04-2010, 11:39 PM

im new to pua and im not going to peacock coz i know if i wore what mystery says too near me id get battered and i wouldnt like dressing like that anyway.

i wear pretty normal clothes when i go out, stylish white t-shirt/coloured jumper, jeans and white trainers/sandy boots. sometimes ill wear a watch, a ring, maybe a knecklace and my jack daniels belt. pretty average look i think you'll agree.

what do u guys do to make yourselves stand out from the crowd?

is it really necessary?

Nope not really necessary, I've pulled when I haven't washed for days and I'm wearing the same clothes I had on days ago. The main thing is to go up and talk to women, be a lively fun person to be around. Although wearing nice clothes might give you confidence boost you can develop that without.

Having said that if you've been locked in your bedroom playing WoW for years then it wouldn't hurt to take some interest in clothes but since that doesn't sound like you I think you'll be fine.

Then don't. Wearing garish clothes for the sake of it will probably make you feel uncomfortable, although there's an arguement here for pushing yourself out of your comfort zone (i.e. the pink dress and dildo on your head exercise).

I personally like to dress up if out on a night out, and pride myself in being that little bit different to the mainstream. To be scientific it has it's advantages, as people's eyes are generally drawn to something different, whether that be red hair, or ridiculously huge boots. It's how you carry it off that's critical.

yeh wearing nice clothes, having a good haircut etc, for me is a massive confidence boost. when i went for a apprenticeship interveiw before, i wore a nice suit and felt, and came across as, confident and friendly.

so basically its not as important as i think it is but if i need the confidence boost then go for it.

surely wear smart clothes gives a much better first impression then wearing dirty clothes? saying that mind one of my mates dresses like a character from skins (throws on anything) and girls thinks he looks cool.

Like I said, it's how you carry it off that's critical. If you wear the tramps clothes and have that 'swagger', the tramps clothes will seem pretty cool all of a sudden.

I'd echo what Nova and Tom have said - wear whatever you feel comfortable in. On nights out, I personally like to wear my cuffs and cool-as-fuck trilby so that's usually what I do wear. Because I'm doing it for my own ends (I love wearing that rad shit!) rather than to impress others, it works for me.

Moral of the story? Dress in whatever way makes you feel happy and screw whatever anyone else thinks. If this means going out in a ballgown with anal beads around your neck, then dress like that - people will think it's cool as fuck if you are comfortable and confident in it.

It's just advice, fellas. Do whatever the FUCK you wanna do

absolutely.

there are a variety of different women out there, with a variety of different tastes...

some girls will like a clean-cut, smart, and trim look,

some girls, like a rough-around-the-edges, slightly carefree look...

why not experiement with a few styles, see what you prefer? see what results you get?

Picard.

Simple, wear the clothes, don't let the clothes wear you. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, alot of guys (me included...once) go out and buy a new wardrobe to aspire to this idea of 'peacocking'. It's irrelevant and often incongruent, if say the guy is wearing outlandish style clothes yet he is a total wall-flower it is sending out mixed messages.

How many times have you interacted with people wearing a particularly outlandish outfit yet when you get to know them they are dull as dish-water? Some people feel they need to over-compensate for lack of persona by expressing themselves purely in a visual sense. It is surface level and superficial. Do not become a victim of it, seek depth and wear whatever the fuck you feel like.

okay so i understand what other have said about wearing what your comfortable with. well when im doing day to day activities i normally wear training gear because i feel comfortable in then but i dont really get much attention from girls i dont know.

however, today i went shopping with a few mates and wore a tight top, surfer shorts, flip flops and some beads around my wrist. most of the girls that walked past me checked me out today, why? i personally think its because i was wearing a tigh top and looked quite muscular so most girls probably linked that to attraction, which is an awsome thing as im aiming for a cover model body in the future.

as im getting in better shape im feeling a lot more confident aswell in all situations and i seem to be approached a lot more by people i only know through friends. im feeling pretty damn good atm .
