Well I'd get a second opinion. Nobody on here is Gok Wan or Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen.

Hi Dude,

Awesome that you're trying to improve yourself, but don't forget your hair & style are ways of portraying your personality!

You don't wanna be a sheep following the herd. Probably best to just tidy up a bit, if you have any friends (especially women) who know or are into fashion etc why not ask them.

The guy seems genuine and came asking for help, no need to be so disrespectful. I notice you keep referencing your own thread like its the Holy Grail of game which is a bit weird, especially when its very average at best too.

Anyway;

Congrats on the positive changes you've already made in your life. If it's style and grooming advice then I'd agree with what Dale said. Go visit a good Barber's or get yourself a stylist, these people are professionals in their industry and will have a better idea of what does and doesn't work for you.
Pretty sure every time I reference my own thread someone says that, even though I have never said that. I think I also say in my thread I don't have a clue about fashion...is that an adequate response?

And to OP I'm sorry if I was disrespectful and if I alienated you. Welcome to the forum.

Look at model and celeb pictures and work out which hair style you want. Personal choice on the colour; basically it's your hair, if you like it, you'll rock it.

For me I get a custon cut but its basically a modified off shoot of the traditional medium cut. I generally condition my hair, make it tidy and push the short fringe that I have to the side. I'm all business so week days I'm in a shirt and tie. When I'm in meetings I'll take a blazer (grey blazer £55 goes with literally anything).

Fridays is dress down day so generally a top and shorts/jeans.

I definately get more attention in a suit, similar to when I'm wearing my leather jacket. Also, on dress down fridays I'm also getting lots of attention; not as much as wearing the suit.

I also get a lot more attention when I have short hair as apposed to long.

I see girls in their cars driving past as Im walking down the road and their eyes are on me. Girls waiting for the train.
I had a meeting with a multi millionaire businessman on thursday and his female assistant was all over me. My managering director asked me to "keep my dick out of her for at least the next 2 hours" haha. Awesome guy, we chat pick up all the time and share stories.

My advice; find a cut you like. Get it. Find well fitting cothes you like. Get them. Sunglasses. Refine & alter as needed. Boom

You don't have to say it outright, the medium is the message. Jay101 posted a review on a book he'd read and your first response was;

You referenced it on a thread Urbanite made with no context behind it and again on here, it just strikes me as a bit odd. When you get called on it you backtrack and say things like your no expert on fashion yet you lambasted the OP like you are.

It doesn't bother me whether your response is adequate or not or if you responded at all, I just felt your reply to the OP was unnecessarily shitty. It's cool that you apologised to him though.

Looking at the OPs picture my impression is the 'look' is quite confused from a fashion point of view. I'm no expert but people who work in quality clothes shops and barbers are usually happy to advise you on what suits you. You should decide what kind of look you are going for. Smart -casual is usually a safe bet with well trimmed hair.

Nah bud it was M & S but I haven't been there since Christmas.
I work for a google partner search marketing company, assistant head of the teams working to control the search and analysis of search terms used on google and its partners as well as signing companies to Pay Per Click and SEO investment opportunities.

Pritty lucky how I got the job and now the managers promoted me because of my ability.

thanks for all the input guys, I took the plunge on Saturday and shaved the lot off.
reactions from most male friends was that I am no longer a man, which was to be expected from my lot tbh.

still not a fan of my chin, but the reaction from female friends has generally been good, and most people (socially and several at work) said I look a lot (5-10 years!) younger, so I might try this look out for a little longer and see how well I can settle into it. failing that I might try Jaz's suggestion of a full beard, and keep it fairly short.

will get another pic up soon so you can see (if anyone cares!), and again, thanks for all the input, both positive and negative
