So what your suggesting is don't go out and chat to girls?
How else will I become more confident socialising with girls I've just met and get over approach anxiety ?

How old are you? If you're under 18 join social hobbies and events. If you're over 18 then go to bars and clubs.

I'm 22 and don't have much time for social hobbies and event, apart from reaching gym at least 3 times a week (well try to anyways) since I work full-time.

I do go to bar and clubs with friends when I have time, but the whole point of me actually looking for advice from the PUA community is to improve my social interactions with woman. In bars and clubs I can rarely approach without the assistance of alcohol.

Plus I'm sure if I only practised talking to woman in those environments it would only improve in them settings, I still wouldn't be able to approach confidently in others (eg public places)

I thought spending time practising improving my interactions with woman would be seen more as Alpha, since I'm self improving, and striving to better myself.

Nothing wrong with needing a couple of drinks for courage. And girls go to bars and clubs expecting to get hit on.You can still learn from that. But developing more social freedom in general can help as well. So starting a convo with a stranger during the day gets you more in the mindset that this is normal. Doesn't mean you have to be chasing girls down in the street but you want to be able to take an opportunity when it comes up wherever, whenever it comes up.

Sounds perfectly fine to me. I try and do at least one a day, be it on the way home from work, or a hot girl I see in the street at lunchtime.

Keep doing this, and you needn't worry about joining social clubs, going out drinking, or dating sites, just for the sake of meeting girls.

Do as you want, I started game when I was 18 and was shocking for years and didn't see any results. It's not until I tried day game in October that I actually started to get better. 3 months later and I could actually go into a club and work my shit.
For me I needed to learn to crawl before I could walk.
It doesn't matter what road you take, just do it.

I've no doubt the few day approaches I did had a big effect on me being bolder in the bars at night. You do something really hard this raises your pain threshhold, then anything less seems easier.
