I wouldn't devote your whole holiday to game, maybe go travelling in south east asia. Broaden your horizons, do some charity work.

Yeah it's 3 months dude. Doing nothing it would pass quick obviously. I also thought about berry picking, dry stone walling, or something similar where I'll meet and interact with a lot of people who are doing an activity for similar reasons. Partly for themselves, partly to give value. A mixture of that for some weeks and maybe some game time, clubbing or whatever, to get that out of my system and just have some hedonistic fun. As others have said the travelling or 'worky bit' would give me lots to talk about in the gaming bit. I wouldn't mind doing a festival or two if it's around that time.

I've applied for this. If it's approved I'll be a free man in May, June & July.

I'm thinking of doing a round the world trip, heading West. My geography is terrible but I know the world is round so if you keep going straight you'll end up back home eventually.

If I don't get my skates on and organise something I'll be stocking up on the Doritos!

Good man you will have the time of your life.
Time slows you will do stuff you never dreamed of, you will dine at the anecdote buffet and meet loads of cool people, and of course a few bell ends.
When you are 70 you will remember vividly what you are about to do as you will your relationships and the people who meant something, not possessions or running about doing day game like Zebedee for 3 months solid.
Check out the round the world tickets. It IAS usually done on miles and your itinerary will look like a Bond movie locations list.
The classic Asia, oz, nz, is easy no dramas and you meet tonnes of bacpacjers although be prepared for pristine white trainer prep gap kids when you hit oz.

I had zero game and pulled a few times plus met a girl I dated for 18 months, now I would clean up!
If you want to really blow your senses go india, harder to travel, every day I was simultaneously infuriated and in love with the people, I had hippies who thought they were cooler than Mr Marketing sobbing because they couiod not handle India but the riches and sensations are there in your grasp.
Love to chat to you about this without being a travel bore replete with 3 million photos, and totally chuffed you are going for it.

I don't think I'd be up to roughing it though. In the summer I camped out for a few nights and was very glad to get back home to my bed. Hostels might be okay with the odd hotel stay to get my shit together.

I travel for work quite often but I'm used to 4 star hotels with double beds and soft pillows. I suppose I could do some cities and some roughing it. I'd also like places where they speak English. As you say we'll discuss it next time I see you.

I've not done hostels, but if I was gonna travel solo again I'd do hostels. When I was on a flight from Seoul to Tokyo I met an English guy and I was telling him how cool it was meeting people from all walks of life from all over the world while I had been in Seoul. He then told me that's why he prefers hostels as you just get to meet so many more people. Roughing it makes it all just that little bit more interesting than the safety cocoon of the hotel.

Yeah, On my work travels I've spent many a lone night in a nice but boring hotel bar chatting to the barman or in my room watching foreign TV. In hostels I imagine you'd meet all sorts and everybody will have a story to tell. From a social point of view it ticks the boxes.

I did do some hosteling around the Scottish Highlands in my early twenties. Even though we were in the middle of nowhere (Oban and the Isle of Mull) me and my mate managed to meet three English girls staying in the same hostel...all stunners. We took them to the local cinema in Oban (it only had about 50 seats). But not having been close to such attractive girls and not having an ounce of game between us we never managed to hook up with any of them. We let them get away. It should be a different story this time around.

I'm starting to get excited about this trip!

Travel dude! It's an amazing experience & you'll meet loads of people! South East Asia can be done in 3 months without breaking the bank!!
