Ok, so part of me getting back on the wagon with this gaming is obviously going to involve some form of texting/phone calls.

As documented in my Day Game thread, I met a Vietnamese girl who I took on an instant-date. We have text to and fro a fair bit, and I decided to ring her one night too, with the conversation going well (lasting around 20 mins).

However as I am now back on the learning tip again, I have realised how unbalanced my text game is, replying to things a little too readily and responding to things asked of me in a too straight manner. I have tried to arrange a meet up via this a couple of times and I have admittedly been a little impatient/needy. She has seen this and not made so much of an effort, making it difficult within reason. Fair play I suppose, I am now aware of my errors.

I decided to chill and step back from this so didn't contact her for a few days. Anyway after hearing nothing I re initiated the texting with:

Me (7pm): Hey ****, hope you had a nice day! Have you worked out what you're going to visit in London this wkd?

Her (11:30): Good night Ashley

Me (11pm next day): You must be excited about your trip now

Her (this morning): No, I wonder what I can do in Manchester now.

This has me stuck, I on the one hand this is an open invitation for me to suggest I show her the sites in Manchester (bear in mind she lives in Bolton), but on the other more cynical hand it could just be her baiting me for more attention. Any thoughts on what I might do? I am tempted to leave it for a bit and just ring her. Text game is a fucking pain in ass!!

i find these risky texts 90% of the time work, probably coz it induces the excitement they dont often get. Plus the idea of being pinned to a wall is slightly 50 shades.

This would definitely be more congruent with the way I behaved when I first met her, as I was escalating fairly fast, and let her know how hot I found her. The all or nothing approach is something I am beginning to embrace more and more. I am however cautious of being seen as sleazy.

Yes, you're coming across as needy and too available. Leave it for a while. A week or so, just be silent.

Stop asking questions in texts, this is needy. Just make short statements, ideally provoking conversation that she's interested in. You can talk about your own passionate interests face to face.

No smiley faces. Only gaylords use these, it's a nervous way of transmitting the underlying tone of your text because you feel the words have so many ways of being misinterpreted. Leave it, she knows what sort of character type you are if you've already met. No sweat.

Remember that encounters can take weeks and months. I met a girl for literally 3 minutes, 4 months ago, and due to random clashing commitments and long distance until recently we've still not managed a 1st date yet. It's not really an issue though.

i get the feeling you're not sending what you want to send but rather what she wants to receive. rather than enjoy whats there in the conversation, you're trying to prolong it, hoping she'll take a risk... now thats just not attractive and i'm sure you're better than that.

Haha, this made me laugh out loud. Too true mate, I think they're fucking boring too. I am not writing what I WANT to write. Time for a change of tone I feel. I am currently considering the all or nothing route as per Phil's response.
