I am always sore when I have a spotter cos it means I can push myself that extra bit, either get the last rep or add an extra weight.
This is what I have found from my experience: If you aren't sore, it means you not pushing the last rep to failure, which is always the case for me. Try ask any guy to spot you. I think a lot of people underestimate the need for a spotter!
