I don’t tend to write up field reports unless I think I or the reader can learn from it. But I thought this was a significant night, it’s the first night in my year of doing this that I kinda felt like a PUA. Looking at Saturday night compared to what I was like 6 months ago, I’m a completely different person.

In particular I’m thinking about when I came up with Hustler25 to Manchester and had an awful night. I had insane AA at the time and absolutely no confidence and every set I opened were either completely unresponsive or rude. That night Jaz tried helping me out by giving me advice and encouragement which has all sunk in since then. After listening to the blueprint and taking the time to go out and practice I’ve completely flipped it around and seen a massive change in myself. Saturday night I felt alpha! I was in an insanely good mood and extremely sociable and just talked to everybody whether they were hotties, warpigs or guys. Sarging with the London lads I saw a bit of how I used to be in some of them. I wildcarded one of the guys to open a set that to be fair, weren’t that great looking. He said “Why? They’re not even attractive.” Which is completely how I used to think and it didn’t get me far. I told him you don’t need to close them, just keep opening and just be sociable. I mostly saw my old self in themaxx who couldn’t open for shit at the start of the night. I encouraged him, gave him advice and followed him around, making sure he opened, similar to what Jaz did for me back in Manchester. Because of the shift in roles it’s really hit home how much I’ve changed in that 6 months.

This weekend, Saturday night was a great success for me. I was in London and met up with some of the London lads from this forum and the LSS forum. They all seem like good guys and were good fun to sarge with. I opened so many sets I lost count. By far the most I’ve ever approached in a night. I got a pretty smooth kiss close. I also helped out one of the new lads who had ridiculous AA and helped get him to a kiss close. I drank a fair amount so my memory isn’t great but I’ll do my best to give you the best bits...

I was late leaving for the meet up. Standing at Liverpool street tube there was a blonde dude in a leather jacket. I made a bet in my head that he was a PUA. When I turned up at The Montagu Pyke and met my new wings, the blonde dude turned out to be RemadyP&R! Getting to know the guys, themaxx tells me he has unbelievable approach anxiety. Knowing what it’s like and how crap it is, I tell him I’ll help him break it. I introduce the wildcard game to him and some of the other guys and we then move on to Zoo bar.

We get into Zoo bar. The first set I see, I open but it doesn’t go well. I wildcard themaxx to open a cute little 2 set in the corner but he’s reluctant to do it. I tell him that I’ll open the set and he comes in with me, but after I open the set he ejects pretty quickly not saying a word. I work the 2 set for a while before exiting.

After opening a couple more sets I wildcard themaxx for a girl at the bar. He procrastinates for a while but finally goes in and they chat for a few minutes. He even calls me over and gets the girl to take a photo of us. I congratulate him after he leaves the set and we join the others in a bit of Dance-floor game. I jump around, clap and “WHOOOOO!” to pump my state. The others join in and copy me, but I’m not sure they knew why I was doing it. I then start grabbing random girls by the hand and spinning them. Not really approaching them, just messing around and pumping my state. I approach a group of girls waving Danish flags and one of them turns out to be Swedish. I chat and dance with her for a while then when she leaves I enter another set. One of the girls is a bit of a show off so I challenge her on it. I spin and dip her but for some reason the interaction dies after this, so I leave the dance floor to approach more girls.

I approached a few more sets, wildcarded some of the guys and wildcarded themaxx who was still fairly reluctant to open. We then opened an 8 set together which went really well. One of the girls was taking a picture and the others were posing. I jumped in and asked the girl with the camera if she wanted to get in the photo and let me take it, which she agreed to. Once I got them all posing “say cheeeeese!” They all smiled and I turned the camera to myself and took a photo of me pulling a face. That got everyone laughing and I took the photo properly the second time. One of the girls approached me and started dancing up to me. Themaxx got stuck in with some of the other girls and I overhear him bigging me up. We both work our way through the group, speaking to all of them before I focus on my target. I build rapport with her for a long time going natural all the way. Her mates keep coming in telling me how great they think I am and pulling away my target telling her to go for it with me. I take her number and use my only canned line of the set “On a scale of 1 to 10, how good of a kisser are you?” We kiss for a while before I pull away jokingly saying “Meh, you’re about a 7?”

I leave the set to find out themaxx had left it ages ago. But when I go downstairs I see he has already opened another set, he’s chatting to 2 girls. I come in to the set and take away the obstacle, chatting to her for a while before she joins the rest of her mates. I wander off and open other sets. I come back to see themaxx is still in set. While his targets back is turned, I tell him to use more kino, which he does and I leave to open more sets. I come back to find him locked in. He’s sat on a stool with her standing opposite him. I advise him to use the “On a scale of 1 to 10...” line. As I walk off I hear him use it and when I turn around I see him kiss close (They grow up so fast).

My last set of the night I did everything right except the close. I got wildcarded to open a 2 set. I opened them and instantly picked my target, an Irish hb8 from Galway. My wing came in, introduced himself and kept her friend occupied. Again, I went all natural and we ended up in deep conversation, she says to me she’s in London to find a husband! I take this as a cue to kiss her but when I look over my shoulder, her mate and their gay friend are just looking at us. I get stage fright and the moment passes. I tell her I’ve got to go find my friends and I’ll see her later. Of course I never do.

Throughout the night two shot girls kept approaching me. One hb9 and a hb10. I didn’t see them as sets as of course they’re trying to charm you into buying shots. But I chatted and flirted with them to pump my state. Messing around with them and playfully (and clearly) shit stirring between the two which was fun for both me and them. I got a free shot out of it, so thought that was worth mentioning.

I realise all my nights from now on won’t be like this. There’ll be times where I won’t feel social or in state. It’s just nice to know how I’m capable of these kind of nights.

well done cefai good to see how much you have progressed in a short time. Im interested to know whats the wildcard game? A good point im going to take away is to talk to everyone not just the women you find attractive. Im in a similar place at the moment i can k close on most nights out but i am finding it more difficult to get an f close!

I can verify everything that Cefai has posted except that he was about a million times more helpful that he said in his post! I've been reading about pickup for a number of years but that was my first night out with guys who had also studied the same things as me. Going out with people who push you and know how the process works is very different for going out with your mates who have no idea. I realised how much work I have to do after that night and how much progress I need to make. I used to think head knowledge was all that was really required, but I now think that head knowledge is around 5%, maybe even less. 95% of game is practice, practice, practice - looks like its gonna be fun getting that practice too with cool guys like Cefai around.

PS that girl that Cefai got me to open that took our photo later stopped me and gave me a kiss on the cheek before walking off without saying a word. I was too surprised to do anything and was unable to find her again after that. I won't be making that rookie mistake again!

Well the wildcard game as Hustler25 put it in another post is:

Though I've only really played a far tamer version. Which is when you have 3 wildcards, and you're just pointing out a girl to approach everytime you throw one down. A very good game if nobody is approaching. It just jump starts a little action that needs to be taken.

LOL, i've not played 'cock-hold chicken' for ages!! bout time I started playing it again, really gets the adrenaline pumping.

The last time i think we played cock hold chicken, Jynx started... who subsequently, didn't chicken out at all, so there was no point LOL.. but entertaining never the less.
