My TL said to me today that he doesn't personally think I'll be sacked.

Obviously, that doesn't mean I won't, so I'll not be pinning my hopes on that, but at the same time it's still kinda hopeful.

I'm just getting on with the training, keeping my head down, and thinking about what products to list in my online store.

Do you think your TL has inside information? They maybe heard something already. Since they pulled you of the phones have they let you speak to any customers?

As for your online thing, I figured you'd already have sufficient savings to start? This idea has been around in your posts for way too long with 0 action taken. When are you gonna actually start?

Peace,

I could only guess, he may have, or may have knew something from the start. Same thing goes for my manager (who by the way, is a smoking hot 45ish year old blonde bombshell), because after I approached and talked to her at the end of the day on Monday, the day it happened, I feel she sort of indirectly reassured me that it would be ok - after telling me about the possible disciplinary outcomes and procedures, she literally said at the end "it'll be ok", which at the time I only thought she said to ease my anxiety.

There is a new customer service team being trained this week and next, so I was taken off the phone and redeployed there as doing "refresher" training. There's no chance I'd be speaking to customers this week or next.

As the week progressed my anxiety levels decreased. I think the refresher training is part of my "being dealt with" whilst HR does their investigation, as well as making me sweat. On Tuesday I'm being sent to do fire-marshall training, which even though I was selected before this incident, it would hardly make sense proceeding with spending a couple of hundred quid training someone in health and safety that is going to be sacked.

I do have about 500 quid in my savings account to play with for it. I haven't been totally inactive I've been doing research and background work on the idea. I have a solid understanding of the entire business model.

You're right I have been talking about it for too long. Until recently the main obstacle was getting my studies out of the way, and they've been completed a couple of months. And, the main obstacle between then and now has been figuring out a market/niche.

However, by analysing the top 20-50 sites on shopify I've decided to take a simpler approach than trying to reinvent the wheel, and simply replicate what's already proving successful for others. For example there's a gadget store that pops up on my Instagram feed that I happen to know is in the top 45 shopify stores. Every time it pops up I have a look to see what they have kept on their store, and what new products they are testing (altogether they never have more than 10-12 products). They're advertising to me, yet it's actually assisting me with my research.

On Monday that Entrepreneur Accelerator Programme I applied for is starting. Monday is a half day ignition event where we meet mentors and network etc. I think it's 8 weeks altogether. I'll definitely have launched the long talked about online business within those 8 weeks.

They would keep you in the fire training either way, I reckon, as you aren't suspended I think it would be preemption of the result / punishment without due process to remove you from it. There's a lot of complicated rules in the disciplinary process. I don't know why they have you coming in at all. You'll be a nuisance to the trainer for sure. At BG you would have been immediately suspended on full pay. It's a more sensible policy.

I'm not a nuisance to the trainer, quite the opposite actually. He originally trained me three years ago when I joined and we've always got on great. He's a gay, bubbly scouse guy and I'm pretty sure he's glad I'm in the training because we have a laugh and it would actually be pretty boring if I wasn't there.

About this pickle I find myself in. I was chatting to a mate from work who's been off for a few weeks and didn't know about it. He told me I'd be fine as he's sat in disciplinary's as a witness, where the offence - he says - was worse than mine, and the staff member didn't get sacked.

What you described = a nuisance

I never actually thought of it that way but I guess you're right if we look at the bigger picture.

Either way it doesn't matter I've been tasked with retraining and that's that.

lol what the fuck is this boring shit, this is a pua forum! I'm sorry but WTF! Dan300 grow some fucking balls, then you might have a muscular body like mine.

dan300 23-09-2018 11:33 PM

I have a muscular body, I just don't feel the need to express this randomly or flaunt it. I bet you're one of these cringy gym-selfie wankers.

I'm already a MASTER PUA but this thread isn't about girls at all. I have other threads for that.

Attended the Entrepreneur Accelerator Ignition event today. We covered a lot including developing mindset, delivery of pitches and our business model.

Something very encouraging to me was during a conversation after the event with one of the mentors. He told me that the last time he checked, one of the previous entrepreneurs that came through the programme was doing 55k in sales per month with their dropshipping business.

During questions at the end I enquired if it would be an issue if I was to launch my business before the course was over. One of the mentors asked "Why Danny, are you going to launch before the end of it?"

I felt a tiny bit of pressure to say yes but quickly decided to use it as reinforcement. I know he was egging me on in order to help me, so now I've committed in front of 40 people to launching my store within the 8 week course.
