This is really good advice - and now I think about it, I unconsciously applied this exact advice about 18 months ago.

I was on a day 1 with a girl I'd met through internet dating. We met up in a pub, had a few drinks. She wasn't really that fit - nice body, but her eyes were too far apart or something.

Anyway, at the end of the night, I just said as if it were the most normal thing in the world: "We're getting kicked out of here now. Lets go back to mine, I'm starving and I've got a pizza I can cook for us".

So she came back. I cook pizza. We eat pizza. We sit on the sofa. We kiss. And from there we ended up having sex (albeit rubbish post-drunk sex. And we both stank of 3 cheese pizza. This was my fantastic internet sex date - with a bird with wonky eyes who smelt of mozarella and me unable to get my little chap anything like standing to attention ).

But now I think back to it, if I'd said to her at the end of the night 'So, do you wanna come back to my place?' an alarm might well have gone off in her head saying 'He's gonna fuck you and leave you! Say no, get a Day 2, and see from there'.

But I defused that impulse by ordering her to come back for a non sexual encounter. Then we had a sexual encounter.

And I never saw her again after that! Hoorah!
