Recently I've been feeling I need to push my game up a notch. While I've been getting girls, there has been too much chance involved. Their group happened to be next to us in the pub, my friends got into a conversation with a few girls and I joined in etc. I don't have any problem opening but I still won't walk across the room to open.

Anyway,

Last night was a prime example; I was given very few openings and couldn't make any.

Myself and my Russian friend hit some of the east ends finest hipster joints.

First pub had nothing, mingled with the skinny jean, checked shirt types and flirted with the waitress; badly.

We wandered over to the line for club 1, chatted to people while we waited. No girls.

In the line for the cloke room I was in the middle of a group of girls. Two guys were trying it on with them; it was painfull to watch. A combination of hard direct approching and being dancing monkeys. One of them actually lay on the floor for some reason.
The girls were crying out to be saved. They opened me and started guessing where I was from. I chatted for a bit, but they were way too young and hyper for my tastes. If I was a bit drunker and horny I way have tried to escale, but, as it was, I let them wander off when they checked their coats.

The dance floor was rammed. A 5 set danced beside us. I say danced- but we're talking techno here, its not music you can really grind too. Unable to dance with them, the russian tryed an opener (I dont know what) but no responce. The set was locked tight. I admited defeat and moved outside.

I opened a 2 set. They had glanced at us a few times, so I just asked some dumb question. 'What time does this place close, where can we go after, etc'
They started guessing where I was from(this seems to be a comman reaction for me, I have a few clever comments I throw in)
All went well, untill- their bfriends rocked up. We made nice and left. My game isn't nearly sharp enought to steal a girl from under here bfs nose.


We walked to another club. It was late now, the club was cool but there were very few quility girls around. The highlight was watching some guy get his girls stolen by a french dude.
A couple had sat with us in beer garden. At least we assumed they were a couple. She was well drunk and talking shit. A 6 at best.We had no interest, even if they weren't together.
Then her friend stumbles over with some french guy shes picked up. He is introduced - then, the friend pulls the girl away with her, as girls do, the french guy goes too and, within minutes, he has his arm around both of them. The other guy was left sitting there like a pure chode. Unlucky.


We left and headed to the bus stop, which, as usual, was packed. A cute bruntte was standing by herself. She had a touch of baby fat, but such a fuck me now face. Dark eyeliner under her eyes. Kate Moss herion chic era kinda thing. Very sexy.
When we finished finding the stops we needed(they're all clumped togeher) I approched her....

Mycroft- Hay are you rich?(who's line is this?)
Eyeliner - Ha, no.
Mycroft - O shame cas we are out looking for rich girls to look after us. Can you cook?
Eyeliner - (laughs) No.
Mycroft - Shit, do you eh... have a Tv licence even?
Eyeliner -(laughs) Yeah I have a tv licence.
Mycroft - Great wow you have ticked one box at least.

We talked for a few minutes, she told us about some creepy guy who was hittng on her.

Then, when its all going well, my bus comes....fuck,

I said goodbye and left her with my friend. She had been fun and it hadn't exactly been a bumper night, I was pissed off I had to leave. So, I called my friend and asked to speak to her.

Eyeliner - Hi
Mycroft - Hay, fuck are you still there I'm on my second bus already.
Eyeliner - (laughs)

I take the piss a little more then say bye. At this point I know my friend will get her number for me. He would have to be a retard not to.

But I like her so a few minutes later I call back.

Mycroft - Still there fuck, have you nothing else to do tonight?
Eyeliner -(laughs) Hay, yeah fuck you.
Mycroft - No seriously, I feel bad, my bus is awesome, we're partying, I've made tons of friends.
Eyeliner -- Yeah let me speak to one of your new friends.
Mycroft - No, ya know, I don't think their going to want to talk to you, some random chick on the street. Its getting a bit suspect that you're still standing there you know. Are you working (| don't recommend implying your target is a streetwalker, but we had a piss taking rapport going and I like a girl with a dark sense of humor)

Mycroft - Anyway I can't waste my whole night talking to you; give your digits to my friend and we'll hang out again.

Number close.

An average night pua wise. I'm still not approaching the way I want, but my improv conversation when in set has improved a lot.

To qoute a political slogan from back in the day 'A lot done, more to do'

Mycroft - First of all - congratulations, you played the bus stop girl well and by the sounds of it might be able to follow that up too. Judging by your first few lines it sounds to me like a classic case of AA - you seem to be comfortable and enjoying interactions with girls, you have all the lines in conversation and the spontanious thought process to cover any situation that arises but your sticking point seems to be actually initiating the openers and approaching girls. To be honest I think you're on the right side of things - rather have the Game and be shy of opening rather than be confident to open but have no ability or material!!

And if it is AA then you know what you have to do - yup - get out there for a day/eve and open as many people as you can -girls, random guys - whatever it takes to get you confident to approach people. Start off by asking starngers for the time/directions etc and when you get okay with the approach start opening some girls and working in a little technique too. I suffer with AA still a lot and have to chanel it into positive energy or I would never speak to anyone! But sounds like you are well on the way Brother. Keep us all posted on your pogress :-)

I had another good night tonight which I will post up about later.

I was out Thursday night with Sky and it was business as usual for me. First pub - 4-set next to us and 1 girl giving us a look (IOI) and me hit with AA didn't open them, but drank up and moved on...it always takes me a little while to warm up but that will be ironed out eventually.

End up in a club and it is quite dead...there is a 2-set on the sofas and so we take a seat and after about 5mins I fight over my AA to open and even though the opener was lame, I battled through as we all know - it doesn't matter what you say (I asked something along the lines of settling a bet if they were older of younger than my friend) but it turned out they were Polish and spoke very little and broken English and I completely blew out and so was feeling shit again. Sky is a natural (bastard!) and can open any set and get results and despite being almost 10years my Junious often puts me to shame. Again - I overcame my AA and opened another - this was a 6-set and I was making progress witha target until I went to the loo and came back to see Sky with his tounge down her throat! (Our rules say anyone is fair game and we still play for each others girls to keep our Game up) so I ended up getting a kiss and number-closing my orginal girls friend but she had a boyf and I left it too late to work on her and so didn't get any further.

The point I am making is that my AA holds me back a lot initially and when I overcome it I take a while to fire up and get on my Game lately and Sarging with Sky helps me keep my Game up but I know that the sooner I overcome my AA the better I will be in sets too and the better I will perform. So -like me bud, keep ploughing on through it and it will make coming out the other side all the more satisfying :-)
