Thanks for the advice, I will just be myself and see what happens.

My housemate is temperamental, when he feels like going out and getting girls, he will be enthusiastic about going out. When things don't go his way, he just says "I've got a girlfriend, I'm not going out."

So I don't go out clubbing as often as I would like, so societies are my main source of interaction.
