On reflection I could have asked her out for a smoke earlier in the night and just the two of us, maybe going around the corner we could have made out a bit, exchanged numbers. I'm realising this now. I'm getting to the point now where I should start pushing a bit further to get something more than just a chat from these interactions.

Yes I think I missed out that time. It's been a problem for a long time. I've had a girl standing with her arms folded waiting for me to kiss her and couldn't do it. It's got to be the next hurdle for me to clear. It's as if I'm waiting for the perfect scenario but I know there's no such thing, you just have to go for it and if it doesn't work out...fuck it, it's her loss.

I shouldn't be worrying too much about what that guy thinks. I doubt he would be interested. Apparently he's got a girlfriend now anyway.
