Cheers man, I'm letting the whole ex situation fuck with my head a fuck load more than it needs to, I should just be rid of it and move on but what I 'should' do is not always what I end up doing.

And I'm completely on the same page with how alcohol affects your stability, I've noticed (especially when drunk) that your thoughts and emotions are all over the shop and only tend to normalise after a few sober days. It's become more of a long term habit that just seems so very hard to break, the only way I can seemingly avoid drinking is by simply not going out, but then I get cabin fever and start going insane / depressed.
