Now I've read a lot about what other people have said about social media pickup or more accurately Facebook pickup (never heard of anybody getting a date from Twitter...). I've never tried it, nor am I sure I will the whole thing just seems a bit strange to me, but that being said before learning about pickup the whole idea of that seemed strange too. But I'm just kind of curious as to what the etiquette is.

I mean do you just add random people and send a message to them introducing yourself? To me that just sounds like a lame ass dating site, you may as well just use PoF at least you know the women there are up for it. Is it friends of friends, people you've met in passing, or people you've actually a conversation which ended in 'find me on Facebook', which I've actually had but not bothered to find them (since I feel its pretty much a cop-out response) and then had them find and add me which took me by surprise I'll be honest.
