I was never that good at it then one day it clicked and I can't really describe how, not very helpful I know but i've got a few thoughts on it.

I think you can't hang around her dancing you have to go up as soon as possible or you'll look like a stalker. Go to any dance floor and you'll be able to see the chodes dancing round attractive woman, I pulled one girl on a dancefloor by going up to her straight away and I pointed out all the chodes dancing round her, she laughed so much and it separated me from them.

You have to be into the music if your dancing but you can just walk through the dancefloor and see a pretty girl and approach.
