I'd definitely lean more towards what phil says, but there's certain situations that may not apply. It all has to do with how you're reading her, and if she's insecure enough to send mix signals. A 'no' from her mouth may not be correct if her actions and body language are saying yes (at which point lay off for a bit and try later), or the opposite may apply where she's complying verbally but seems cold or turned off, at which point why bother? Either way you've gotta play it by ear, and can really only bank on your personal experience.

Phil has more experience and knows what he wants in his girls so he won't put up with their BS, but I think thats because he's seen it all before and has gone through all of the bullshit to know not to put up with it... meanwhile some of us who've yet to still ought to/have to, so that we can firmly know we don't want to do that shit. Pretty much learning from mistakes.

...But then again, if she is insecure, you may not want to be around with her too much for fear of her becoming clingy
