Ive noticed in my experience there are girls who dont want a relationship but want to fuck and are happy to admit that with you.
there are girls that dont want a relationship and want to fuck but if you admit you want the same they feel out of control and will back off, wether they feel slutty because they openly admitted it or want to be the one thats in control of what the meeting turns into i dont know.
then obviously there are girls that want a relationship.
there are girls that want a relationship but dont think you are relationship material but are curious about fucking you so do it.

again- the permutations are endless. I dont lie to girls now about what i want but i do use non commital responces at times that allow them to think whatever they want.
i also make sure i dont hurt their feelings or i do my best not to.
