Almost all teachings relating to the self that strive for what's psychologically healthiest converge with one another. Almost all of them were motivated by their own unhappiness and desire to feel better, it's been a while, Sartre's caveat was ugliness right? As a result of being motivated by their own issues they all sought and found the same end. Everyone here has their own issues and reasoning for coming to terms with the self and ultimately at the healthiest end the same self acceptance arises. The writings might have different idiosyncrasies but if they all come to the same end does it matter?

People should just read whatever makes the most sense to them, they all get the job done. Whatever gets their quickest for the individual.
