Jono Lancaster is a good example here.
Facial deformity... Funny thing is it doesn't have to get you down, or even make you look that bad at all. Style, a bit of grooming and a decent haircut are all that's necessary to make most people look pretty damn good compared to their previous dog eared effortless selves.
Throw confidence, understanding of social interactions and a bit of wit on top of that and you've got someone who's going to have success. Obviously the example is hit and miss though, he did decide to take up a job as a fitness instructor and get very fit himself. He's got a great body. I think it really shows the argument for both sides though.
