I tried speed dating once, in my first week of my first year at uni. The girls were either hot and had fit boyfriends, or were ugly and had ugly boyfriends. I think they thought of it as more of a "meet and greet" type event. Either way they were all hopelessly dull - hardly a story to rub together.
