My personal view is that in the long term, generally speaking, both man and woman share the same feelings and the same way of living the relationship, to some extent.

At the beginning it's different. For man is more infatuation, a way to "satisfy" his personal needs, but at the same time they start getting more and more attracted to the girl, feelings grow and become stronger and spontaneous. Strong connection and "long term view" come usually slowly and later. Girls generally focus more on connection from the beginning and, if they are around 30 or more, they want to understand from the beginning if there is potential for a long term relationship or not.

The final result/objective is the same, but the first approach is pretty different. I think this often leads to misunderstanding.
