In my experience the people that Excell beyond all others and are worshiped as gods in all aspects of life are plagued by low self esteem/social issues and psychological problems--its what allows them to push and push and push beyond all else and to the detriment of everything in their lives.
If you want to become a god you have to be willing to pay the ultimate price
the joke is that although outwardly they seem to be everything you would ever want to be-- inside they are crying out.

Girl i dated was an Ex Triathalete and runner for Great Britain, the more i got to know her the more i realised she was pushed by her parents, her father showed her no love and the only way she could get his affection/validation was by pushing her body to extremes.
she had not had a period in 5 years due to the extreme stress her body was constantly under
