Don't let that stop you drinking though mate. My girlfriend doesn't drink a drop, but I didn't let it hold me back from taking her to bars the first dates I took her on. She can always have a diet coke or latte.

Also another note, don't let it be a suggestion, let it be a decission - 'We're going here'.
