its not even about tolle. fuck him.

adam this doesnt stand up mate

so whats the answer then?

1) what is it that sees these thoughts/feelings/emotions?

2) is this thing part of you, if not where has it come from?

3) what is it that causes these thoughts/feelings/emotions?

the answer..

1) the mind is the thing that senses and sees these emotions

2) the mind is part of you.....how can it not be

3) in relation to this point k dogg argues that the mind causes these thoughts/feelings/emotions. in essence they do not have an independent external existence. in his view how can they. it would be absurd. your mind created the thoughts internally via chemical imbalances etc.. as such the thoughts and the thinker are actually a singularity. a thought cannot exist without a thinker. (its all connected.. our minds are part of us, they perceive and they think thoughts. at no point does our mind take on an a thought that exists independently of its own accord because such a thing does not exist)

however i think its possible to argue that thoughts do exist independently so that some thoughts are not our own and so can afflict us. my theory on this is somewhat akin to platos theory on forms. ive got to get back to work now and so will finish this soon

ps k dogg ur gay
