Change the subject or just tell her you don't think it's a problem (if this is the case). Like anything negative or resistance orientated, as the man you need to be the one dictating 'if it's alright' or not. If you start making it an issue by reacting to or thinking too much about her comments then it becomes an issue, even if you originally didn't have a problem with it.
