This a Jay length post and I don’t want to get into the psychology of why more women than men read horoscopes and visit psychics. Basically if you can tell a woman something about herself in the first meeting rather than ‘so what do you do for a living’ you’re already well on your way to fucking her.

Psychics, did you know that despite their bullshit claims, there has never ever been a successful demonstration of these powers in a laboratory. Why is that do you think? Did you also know that the Australian government offers a cash prise for anyone who can demonstrate psychic power, it’s still not been claimed.

The most common method psychic’s use is called cold reading, it’s a skill just like any other. To get good you have to practice. It’s basically skilful extraction of information, observation and watching body language which you then feed back to them.

The following are ten points that will get you started.

1. Remember that the key ingredient of a successful character reading is confidence.If you look and act as if you believe in what you are doing, you will be able to make mistakes and still impress her.

2. Make creative use of the latest statistical abstracts, polls and surveys. Things like common names by age, common tattoos girls wear, jobs people do, religion etc etc. I once went up to a girl and said your called emma, you're catholic you have a tramp stamp, you work in call centre, you have a brother and you’re mum and dad are divorced. I got five out six right.

3. Set the stage, profess a modest talent for working people out, don't make any excessive claims.

4. Gain her cooperation in advance. You are not on trial, she is. You will only succeed to the degree that she is made an active participant. The good reader is the one who , deliberately or unwittingly, forces her to search her mind to make sense of your statements.

5. Keep your eyes open! Use your other senses as well. Size her up not just her tits by observing her clothes, jewellery, mannerisms and speech. Also, watch carefully for her response to your statements - You will soon learn when you are hitting the mark!

6. Use the technique of fishing. This is simply a device to get her to tell you about herself. Then you rephrase what you have been told and feed it back to her. One way of fishing is to phrase each statement as question, then wait for the reply. If the reply or reaction is positive, then you turn the statement into a positive assertion. Often she will respond by answering the implied question and then some. Later, she will forget that she was the source of the information! By making your statements into questions, you also force her to search her memory to retrieve specific instances to fit your general statement.

7. Learn to be a good listener. Listen to what information she is feeding you and use it

8. Always give the impression that you know more than you are saying.

9. Don't be afraid to flatter her at every opportunity. Balance this obviously if she’s a 10. Occasional she will protest, but will still lap it up. In such cases, you can add, "You are always suspicious of those who flatter you. You just can't believe that someone will say something good about you without an ulterior motive".

10. Remember the Golden Rule - always tell her what she wants to hear!

As ever there is always more than one source for this material but if you want to go down the paid route Ian Rowlands - Full Facts Book will set you back 42 quid from amazon and Kenton Knepper's was more of a pamphlet and extremely hard to find unless you download.

It's actually quite hilarious how people try and apply information to themselves, I remember seeing something that Derren Brown did with 3 groups of people in 3 different countries. He pretended he was going to do a full astrological reading, then gave them each a "personalised" reading. Most people thought it was 80-90% accurate, so obviously a very personal reading. It was actually the same document for every single one of them.
