I need a hand with this one! Theres a new girl a work, she's an 8 with a 9 body! But she's romanian and her English isn't great, how can I DHV non verbally? And how can eventually meet her out of work?
See, one minute I'm telling you to whip it out, next minute you're winking at me. This is how it starts you know.
So difficult to say without a feel for the people and the place. Are you sure you want to be hitting on someone at your place of work by the way? What's a Romanian bird doing in the merchant navy?
Anyway, if you must, generalised advice would be to drop the idea of a magic DHV and focus on being the social centre of the workplace, which has value in and of itself. Then, reframe the obstacle as a benefit: learn a few basic phrases in Romanian, to instigate an ongoing playful little teacher (her)/student (you) thing between you. Just say something casually to her in Romanian one day, but get some of it intentionally wrong in such a way that the translation will be funny to her, so she can correct and teach you. Get something playful going like this. Get it?

She's a massage girl onboard the ship. And don't worry I haven't done any magic with her, i didn't think it would be appropriate and effective. I'm not spending to long onboard this ship so i'm not too bothered about being with someone in the workplace.
Thanks for the advice, really useful and soo simple! I literally kicked myself when I read it, why could I not think of that! I was thinking like an AFC!
just forget everything, learn a little about romania, a couple of phrases and go talk to her, she will lvoe talking about her own country and you showing an interest.
then just ask her out for a drink --it really is that simple
