I've had a text from Kowalski asking if i'd post a little about online dating, what i do, the sites i use and my thoughts and feelings about it.

Well first off, i think it's worth me mentioning what i'm after as the approach may be different, depending what your looking for. Me, well i am looking for Miss Right, plain and simple and my reason for learning how to be Socially awesome is to increase my chance of finding her, nothing else.

I've taken what i do from various places and i'll try and give the correct reference where i can.

The main point for me was a David Deangelo statment, which was never doubt the product, only the marketing. So in that i am on LOTS of dating sites. That doesn't mean i'm subscribing to lots of sites, i just have my profile up there and seeing what generates interest.

Always have a photograph and i've been told to have one done professionaly, but haven't got round to it yet, but guys this doesn't mean having one showing your six pack off. Doesn't work guys, a nice head and shoulder shot work's the best.

After that it's all what you write in the profile. I've tried the arrogant approach as mentioned in several places, it might work in the states, but all i've have a shit back from the girls about it. The best i've come up with is to be completly genuine about yourself and what your after, if you want a realtionship, say it, if your after a FB, say it, if your after something else, Say it!. Add lots of feeling and passion about your interests, a statment of 'i like cheese' is not good. Give the girl something she can connect with, say why, experiances and how it makes YOU feel.

I've got to the point where i only work with girls contacting me, i hardly ever contact a girl 1st now. Don't expect a girl to mail you though, its still the guys responsibility, so you'll get wink's or what ever the site uses to show someone's interested without mailing. So after that mail her back, and again, make it passionate and a decent mail.. 'you want to chat' again doesn't work. Oh and if you like someone, mail them. The winks only work women to men, if you wink, you'll get nothing back, men have to mail.

As regards sites, Start with Match.com, there are by far the most people on their.

Know what your after so when you start chatting you know what is a deal breaker and what isn't! you'll be supprised how many you can disqualify in the first couple of mails as it can take a lot of time replying and you could spend a rediculas amount of time online if your not carefull.

Not to go against your good post, Just as a matter of principle, I refuse to spend money on meeting and getting to know women when there are plenty of them out there for free.

A free verison I've been on is Okcupid.com never had much luck on there personally or
Vampirefreaks.com (which is only really good if your a goth/industrial / metaler like myself) which while isnt a dating site has gotton my quite a bit of sex over the years
