Default My top ten books - 16-08-2011, 02:45 PM

I like to read but recently i have found it a struggle to find a book that you find so damn good you cant put it down i have looked at amazon reviews that is a good indicater if the book is any good.

Ive read many of the classics the really good ones ive looked at the top hundred books some on the list are excellent and some are complety dire.

A good example the div vinzi code spelt wrong but that is a typical mordern book that unbelievbly sold 80 million copies. and i could not believe people rave about that book and is complete crap to americanised long winded drivel my top ten what be.

1. Down and out Paris and london a brilliantly funny book about poverty in the thirties and the hell as working as a dish washer and as life as a tramp orwell at his best.

2.Crime and punishment a russain book about a university student impoverished that dicides to murder a pawn broker barely gets away with it. Then he slowly goes mad and well its a epic of a book with the detective on his case the brilliant mind games they play with each other.

Probaly my favorite book ever it leaves a impression on you which is rare for a book.

3.Germinal about the french miners how brutal there lifes were even for the women and children and horses .It makes you apprecaite how easy we got now compared to the back breaking labour they had to do to survive.

4.Sons and lovers.

DH laurence said "I think ive cracked ive finally written a master piece" its set in the thirties another mineing book about his brutal father and how desparete he is to get educated and not be a miner like his father. And the intricate ralat.ions with his mother and lovers. Its perfert book pure poetry in motion

5. The day of the jackal most of you probaly seen the film so enough said on that.

6.Moby dick another brilliant book about the white killer whale very long but its shows how hard life is at sea and another gem of a book.

7.Papillion a french book about prisoners that get sent to devils island very enjoyable epic of a book.

8.Errol Flynn a classic ladies man a movie star and had a really intresting life before becoming a movie star a hilaroius read one of the best biographys ive ever read .

9.Tess by thomas hardy that guy really could write beutiful prose another long book but very imspireing.

10.The wright brothers the guys that invented avation totally in awe of these guys what they acheived from just being bycycle mechanics and inventing the mordern plane from designing the wings to stay in control in flight first they used kites then gliders and then on to designing the first plane to stay in the air and change direction the three dementions were finally solved.

So guys if you could reccomend any books that would be great i could list a hundred easily cheers

I can't read books that don't give me a factual meaning of something..

The books I have read, cover to cover, are (this is an unimpressive reading list)
Harry potter (all of them)
all of Dan Browns books (worth a read)
The Game

And in my reading list I have Lord Sugars Autobiography
and Simon Cowells biography

I print screened a list of books that Kowalski mentioned on a post LONG TIME AGO I will up it to imgur tonight for you..

"The Outlaws Story"

Its about the famous austrailian bank robber Brendan Abbot

Its a brilliant book about how he escaped custody 3 times & robbed over 30 banks before being caught (again)

Apart from PUA stuff, i only read non-fiction, true crime

The Hungry Caterpillar...

Well I actually quite like:
Pride & Prejudice - chicks also dig this book making it great conversational ammo
Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes - mainly his adventure/stories books but the hound of the Baskervilles was pretty good.

More Recently:
Time travellers wife - not the film though
Three cups of tea
My legendary girlfriend (why you shouldnt be an AFC)

Be desireless. Be awesome. Be gone
