One thing i have noticed since forcing myself into becoming a lucid dreamer is the amount of energy it takes, sometimes if i have what feels like a long dream (though apparently they only last seconds) i wake up very tired, its somtimes like the sleep is my life and the awake conciousness is my rest.

Human life is not maintained automatically
or effortlessly; its constituent values are not achieved by instinct
or magic or wishful thinking. Human beings must act in order to achieve
our lives and happiness, but only certain actions will be effective. Unlike
lower animals, we choose our actions

I've had two lucid dreams.. One where I was having amazing sex with the hottest girl ever, and the other I was flying for a bit..

I haven't had one in a few years, I might start a dream diary first..
