Through out my life I have always had the same problems whenever I have had a girlfriend.
They become unsatisfied as I can never talk in depth with them about their emotions and feelings.
I have never been able to "put the world to rights" (i hate this term but it gets quoted at me all the time).
I am fine with general chat but if it starts to get a bit in-depth, i change the subject.

I have never been that deep with my own emotions and have found that instead i block out any feelings or bury them deep inside, never to be dealt with again.

This has hindered me a lot and now i find that as i'm not that connected to my emotions, i'm also not much of a thinker and in most group conversations will stand at the back and have no input or opinion.

This is slowly starting to change but wandered if anyone else has been in a similar position and how they got over this and if they had any tips or recommendations.

Just speak your mind more James, Im sure you've got opinions, and the more you open up about them and are open to them being challenged the deeper you will become and more in tune with what is at your core belief system.

now thats the problem i have, most the time i just listen and at the same time, nothing really goes on in there!! I have to really, really concentrate to be able to think of anything and can get easily distracted.
I always keep myself busy and never have any real alone time. I think I need to have some time out to myself each week to just start thinking for myself!
