I find that thinking this particular way has helped assuage my self-doubts and insecurities is just to enjoy myself. Focusing on the positive things about myself, friends and others rather than looking for imperfections and catching negative thoughts, feelings etc. before they manifest has given me the confidence that it takes to be successful in life.

This is all good, but you need a balance. Being discontent can lead to change and change can lead to new experiences and new experiences can make you happy and grow as a person. If you able to be 100% content with everything you could live on benefits have no relationships and never leave the house and not wanting that to change as you are happily content. The people that change the world are usually those that are discontent and this emotion can be a powerful tool if channelled correctly.
