Default Does anyone know good sources for learning to insult people properly - 12-02-2011, 04:01 AM

Aswell as PU, I think there are times when you are in postions where, actually, you need to give "some" back. There are an infinite situations when you need to do this. However we are brought up and taught to not insult people, which in most cases is correct. But there are times when we are put in those situations where really I need to stand up for myself, and yet we are completely unprepared on how to handle it.

From a PU perspective, you may encounter an obnoxious cockblocker, or unknowingly just approached an absolutely complete bitch.

But ofcourse you need to know when to use it.

Knowing how to stick up for yourself can actaully show you have strength of character and masculinity. If you got insulted in front of someone and didnt say anything back, people wont respect you in the same way (Both the person insulting you and the people witnessing it).

I also have a theory that funny people are actually those who can insult someone easily, which thus reduces all fear when saying a joke, because if the joke goes south and your mocked for it then you can switch over to your "i dont give a fuck" and insults that spawn from a care-free and "non-craving of someones approval" attitude.

The ultimate aim is to be a complete person when it comes to social interactions, and in order to achieve this completeness you must achieve and bring about a completely care-free attitude in your social life. There are many elements to this social completeness and wholeness which include PU and also imo insults and insultive comebacks.

Soooo my question to you is do you know of any sources (preferably websites) that tell you about this sort of thing???? I know there are books on "how to deal with difficult people" and websites with dim-witted vulgar swearing and insults, but none of them, i find, are very good.

I always adored the line "If I wanted a comeback I would have wiped it off your mum's chin", but other than that, check this out

I think alot of challenges can be avoided by eye contact, maintaining an authoritative body language and powerful vocal quality that will captivate. This will communicate that attempting to mock you would be a bad idea.

Watch any Marx brothers films. Groucho was definitely the master of the put down.

I consider myself sharp when it comes to banter

Ive found its actually better to just give people the rope to hang themselves, dignified silence, why bring yourself down to their level, i cant be arsed.
