Dam, I don't need to pick up girls I need to pick up some guys who are fuckin reliable.

We're supposed to be going to Judge Jules at Bliss tonight in Southampton, been looking forward to it for ages but the 2 guys I arranged to go down there with bailed.

One was ill earlier in the week and then told he had to work tomorrow morning. The other is just plain fuckin lazy, and had decided to bail 2 hours before we're supposed to leave.

Now I don't mind people bailing when plans genuinely change or whatever but when they just do it out of laziness over a few months have done it on a few occasions you start to wonder whether they're worth the effort.

What particularly is the bit that frustrates me is they go flakey and dont reply to texts or answer the call and then finally get back to you so late in the day. Maybe they're females in disguise?

So on the agenda for 2011, learn to pick up guys

Part of me says just go anyway but its like a 45 minute drive down there and being a newbie I'm still not confident to go that far on my own and invest that much time and petrol for a bad night.

I was at Ministry on Friday and Judge Jules was on the listings.

Thing is, I dunno what Judge Jules looks like and you dunno when he is on in the set list (I assumed later on, as he was headlining), and the Box is extremely dark, so I might well have missed him, or it might as well have been the world-famous DJ Kellogg's Cornflakes as a stand-in! In light of that, it's seldom on my radar the "name" of who is DJ'ing or not. I just absorb the music I like and the women I like!

Its the sort of music I'm into and its rare that you get nights dedicated to it so was kinda looking forward to it. I'm not majorly pissed off just feel a bit let down. More a motivation to change the way things are.

Went out with a few people off for a play with the cars in the end so I didn't sit around all night feeling sorry for myself. lol

But yeah hope to meet up with a few of you guys in the coming weeks and may well forge some good friendships out of it. One point David DeAngelo makes is to find groups that will pull you up to the next level and not hang in ones that bring you down.

This isn't even about pick up or wingman just mates to hang with that are gonna stick to there word.

You are so right Rabbid, I've made some amazing friends in the PU community, but it's like anywhere else. Some people are great friends, some will try drain you and drag you down.
