World War III is just around the corner it seems. I blame stupid David Cameron and Barak Obama for refusing to send in ground troops to Iraq and Syria as airstrikes alone will not stop ISIS from taking over the whole of the Middle East and posing a massive terrorist threat to all western countries.

Hawks in Washington wanted to roll right through the middle east after 9/11, maybe they are funding a bigger threat so that they can get public approval. Maybe it's genuine blowback as the East pushes back upon our meddling in their affairs.

We the public never know what is going on and why, these are complex geopolitical forces. I've long given up trying, I just focus on what I can influence in my own life.

If you want an interesting stat though, historically the West has had 80% of the world's wealth. By 2050 it will be 35%. Tectonic shifts are coming in our lifetime.

ISIS aren't that powerful, they've only taken on broken and weak countries. Look at Syria, a shit country in the middle of a civil war and they're not doing particularly great given the circumstances. How the hell are ISIS going to take on Israel (which is funded by America and has strong public support from them too) when they can't even properly take over Iraq or Syria. Which is pretty obvious anyway but still. ISIS won't get anywhere, ISIS is like a common cold at best, sure it fucks you up a bit but inevitably it will whither away. They are too extreme for any real government or people to accept too.

Hahaha you really are stupid. I would love to know what condition you have. Its not about who tortures people in the worst way or even how many. Its just their ideology and how they act it out. From what I've read the only reason they're holding ground atm (minus the violence) is because they occupy countries that have no real government or centrality holding it in place. They then offer hospitals, food, education etc to these places in whatever way they can to keep them happy and on their side.

They will never be able to offer a true threat a real, centralised, strong country or area. At least according to any information from a reliable news outlet.

Places like the UK and USA have smart people researching this stuff, if there really was a true threat to WW3 or even a major war, they would take drastic measures to stop it. I think it was the UN that literally made after WW2 to stop that ever happening again.

ISIS are quite strong actually because they have got millions in oil revenues and are making millions for other rackets like extortion and kidnapping. They also have some very rich backers in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Plus an almost endless supply of recruits from across the world who are flocking to Syria to fight for them. They are also web geniuses using multiple twitter, Facebook and other social networking accounts to spread their propaganda and entice new recruits.
