I've never had a girlfriend and would really like one. I've been close a few times, but never really knew how to take it further than friends.

When I was in school I had to teach myself flirting and body language as I was cluless. This was rather interesting as I realised a fucking smoking hot girl I saw as a friend was trying every trick in the book. She eventually slowly lost interest in light of a new boyfriend, and is now pregnant. There was another girl, as smoking hot but dumb as shit, and another one the opposite, but never took them anywhere as I was clueless. First two I tried numerous times to ask to places but never said yes, despite showing considerable interest.

Last summer I signed up to my first dating site, and got a few hits but sadly never materialised into anything. I had my first approach on a girl in a pub who was drawing. Completely out of character thing to do. Found out she worked there and I'd go in every other day to see her, but every other conversation, she'd mention something about her previous boyfriends (a potential sign I'm in the friend zone). She left for Uni and that was the end of that. Found out she entered a relationship the day before the last day I saw her, which sucked. She was awesome! She came up as a suggested friend a few months later and she rejected my request. I don't get women!

I suddenly realised a few months ago that I'm stagnating and need to do things with my life, this being one of the things in my way. Not so much interested in pickup touts or casual sex (although that's be great) but instead how to get past the first hurdle. I think I might be a demisexual, but not really sure.

2 months ago I had a hit on a dating site that agreed to meet up. First time anyone have ever said yes, however she went on holiday. When she came back, I've no idea what happened but she said no and then never replied ever again. PMFITS, but online dating is slow af!

I've done some research but most of the stuff seems to be American, which is totally off to here. Hopefully the forum will point me in the right direction. Cheers.
