Hi all, I just joined this forum last week after reading "The Game" and thought I would try out what I have learned last night for the first time. I'm 39, From Chester and socialise a lot in Manchester.
Myself and a couple of friends headed out into Didsbury to a well known bar normally full of groups of good looking girls. We were not dissappointed as per usual and we were all up for a good night.
I have been telling the guys about some of the stuff that i have read about approaching women and asking opinions on certain situations and they were slightly sceptical to say the least. To be honest neither of the guys thought i had the balls to try it out so I delved straight in with the waitress who came to our table ( an 8 ). I went with the old " My friends girlfriend has just moved in with him and found a box of letters and photos under the bed and has freaked. She says they go or she does, Do you think thats fair? "
Well, the waitress was stood with us for 15 minutes in the end so it was a good start. Ten minutes later an amazing redhead wandered past and I called her over with the same approach. This worked just as well though she had to rejoin her friend after a while.
Next were a 2 set ( a 7 & 8) who spent the next 2 hours with us. (One a millionairess !!!) The target ( Not the millionairess ) was engaged but I tried for a number close just to see whether it was possible but she sidestepped me and said she would take mine instead. Is that half a win ?
After we parted i tried similar scenarios on three more 2 sets aiming only at 8's and above and all but one pair reacted well spending ages with us and having a good chat. I didn't get any more numbers but my confidence was boosted by a zillion percent.
The guys I was with were gobsmacked at my new found confidence and success with such a simple approach. Now they both want to start reading this stuff. I think i may have created a couple of Monsters.
Why didn't I do this years ago.
Next I have to start working on some number closes. Any good tips ?

Great to see you've got stuck in. That first bit of knowledge makes the biggest difference.
Next you should think up a couple of openers that are your own. The one you mentioned is widely known and used.
