So how much material do you guys go out with when you sarge?

Do you have stuff memorised for each situation or do you do go aunatural and see what you can get away with at the time?

I myself feel pretty confident saying anything but I always have a good 2-3 routines in the back of my mind when the situation calls for it.

I tend to use abit of eveything , if i feel like a canned opener which tbh 50 % i will because they are used for a reason ... they work . I will only go off the cuff and use a situational opener if the situation is interesting enough to catch a spark (in day game this is rare)

However i never use a physicaly 'scripted' opener , ill have an opener in mind and use it's ideas , hooks and ill just wing the rest , be abit c and f lol .

I guess what im saying is , just go with what you feel works and what your comfortable with . If your not comfortable with it , they're gonna know .

i've never yet gone out with material, then again i'm dyslexic so written down statements wouldnt help, the set would have gone by the time i read it, haha

i have to say i agree wholeheartedly with Kowalski. start with a script, and trash it at the first opportunity, a lot of girls are becoming wise to 'The Game' mostly limited to niel strauss's publications, but also to the common canned material,( i would now advise NEVER, EVER to use the cube, variations maybe, but its seen as hitting on someone where i come from now, and that could kill your game if it's used before the attract stage.) so stay away from the stuff when you can.

i use a lot of situational openers and i try to keep it natural, apart from a little NLP. the only times i use really heavy stuff is when im going for F-close, then the DHV and phase-shift routines come out.

ive been reading a lot on some more advanced NLP but im approaching that carefully as some of its just damn dangerous.

im only just starting to use some of the cold reading techniques as a basis for developing my game. tailoring game to suit the type of person im talking to according to their answers, but then again i dont know if i'd call that material as such, more a tool of situational assessment
