Yeah I used to be a fairly strong advocator of "don't ask questions", but to do so would be to take the concept too literally. I think it is better not to rely on run-of-the-mill questions to keep a conversation going. Rather, ask questions that you want to ask her. I like to ask a girl if she comes from a good background, or if she's the marrying type. I don't want to be dating a girl if she turns out to be a smackhead or is a princess who's planned her perfect wedding.
