I finished with a bird i was proper into over a year ago...

was in bits but got over it, but i always think about her. now when i do its usually an idea that we could get back together... coz ive heard from close friends of hers she misses me but, she has a new fella so i couldnt be assed with all tha.

still missed her tho.... found out today she is pregnant yeah.

felt a bit gutted, BUT, whilst this gutted feelin came, my image of us dispersed, it was like my future picture of us went blank, and ..

i cant explain its like i dont think ill miss her no more.

how weird is that, its like i missed her, but the thoughts because of future prospects not of past.

i really cant explain it like, but i dunno if missing someone could be stopped not by trying not to think of the past, but blanking thoughts of the future & creating a different image of yourself in the future.

perhaps im chattin shit, but maybe that will help sum1.

I've read books my Paul McKenna about getting rich or whatever n he goes through exercises where you think of a picture and make it smaller and grey and fading and like changing your view on it then focusing or some shit like that.. just sounds familiar to what you're saying about blanking thoughts of the future and recreating it..

And I felt a similar experience with one of my exs, and I did miss her a little, but then when she got engaged to her new fella, everything just vanished. All feelings gone. And also, it got rid of the rage I still felt over the breakup. Made me at peace with it. Same goes for my other ex who got a new boyfriend, gave me peace and closure..

I agree it is hard to explain, I'm crap at explaining things anyways, but I can relate to this.

I think so cos you lost me there...! You cant miss something that hasnt happened or in the future. Oh well as I said you either talk shit or Im a confused man!!

its not the times you had u miss its what u cudda had... in some cases anyway

Its not wierd and quite simple..... You no longer feel you could have children with her, so its a lost cause. You may not logically think that but you feel the emotion of it.
