Reminds me a bit of American Gigolo where RG starts giving advice on picking up girls to the cop whos investigating him. The theme of guy separating/getting divorced then trying to rienvent himself as some sort of pimp is hardly new. Granted the guys style has classic elements of pickup which we recognise but most guys who arn't already aware of PUA would dismiss it as fantasy.
For example in the bit where she says "Its time to go home" and PUA guy says "thats very forward of you ... but OK". We all know thats classic David D cocky funny and most of us will probably add that one to our repertoire, but 99.9% of blokes would not even entertain the possibility that a line like that might actually work in real life much less have the guts to try it themselves. Ditto for all the other lines he uses.

This film was good! Not as predictable as you might think. Funny too!
I also watched Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Warrior this week. Crazy Stupid Love was my favourite of the three! 'The race is long, and in the end, it is only with yourself'
