Default Pondering my next move - 08-06-2011, 05:03 PM

I started reading about PUA about a week ago and last night was my first attempt trying it out. Went out with a wingman, used an opener I found that I felt comfortable with on these two girls, I started talking to one and my friend to the other. They seemed up for a laugh but after a while we ran out of anything funny or interesting to talk about (I haven't read that far yet!) and they left to mingle into the night, but not before exchanging facebooks with us.

Having reviewed her profile pics today through sober eyes I can confirm that the one I was chatting to is indeed hot and worth pursuing, I'm thinking of inboxing her but I can't think of anything to say beyond "hey, it was fun meeting you last night" - seems a bit empty and predictable?

Any tips for a good first "next day" message to make her laugh and build rapport?

I find stuff like this works really well, facebook or text!

You use a "time bridge" mate, the basic jist of which is that you back reference a high point from the time you met.

This puts her right back to how she felt at the time, effortlessly separates and identifies you, and allows you to be very casual and avoid the usual "hello, remember me, we met at X" type stuff she get's all the time.

Personally, I will often give a pet name in person, which in of itself will have playful meaning that means something to only us, then use it with a very simple message the next day.

Obviously retrospectively this groundwork is not here on this occasion for you, but you might be able to back reference something, if not, it should help you next time.

Thanks PS, good tip that. She had a weird thing going on with her hair, maybe I could reference that somehow.

Haha, I don't know if I could pull that much randomness off! Where would the conversation go after that anyway?

Me: Have you seen my rubber ducky?
HB: eh wut?
Me: ...

You just have to have fun!

That said, PostScripts post is the 1 i'd follow! If you can make her associate you to the good time you had the other night you're halfway there!

You can't devise a set of responses based on a random message opener. You need to learn to pick things up from her responses.
Quote:
Example:
Me: Have you seen my rubber ducky?
HB: eh wut?
Me: You heard me, have you seen my rubber ducky?
HB: That's very random. No I havent seen your rubber ducky. Who are you anyway?
Me: Bloody hell, I was the awesome guy you met last night, you wet yourself laughing at my jokes. You must be pretty pissed not to remember me. Did you go home to change your knickers?
HB: Hahahaha...you are funny! Now I remember. No, we didnt go home. We went to "Moho Live"...
Me: Moho Live is a shit hole....you should go to Blackdog Ballroom.....
All Im trying to say is you cannot devise a set of replies/responses. You need to learn from her responses and pick up stuffs from that, and divert the conversation based on these. It easier if it is messaging, trying doing it face to face...!
The other way is throwing random pebbles...
This might help:
Pebbles...

if your run out of stuff to say, just close and go confidently would be the logical thing to do. leave them wanting more i guess...

How about something along the lines of "So I met this girl the other night, her facebook profile says she's single, reckon I should message her?"
Too needy?

Why not be direct & ask if she wants to hangout sometime so you can get to know each other a bit better, since you only chatted briefly the other night?

If you made a good impression she will want to. If you didn't make a good impression I don't see that you're gonna get anywhere by facebook 'game'.

I think you're right. I'll try the direct approach. Cheers
