Some of "your friends" are negative for a very good reason - death/illness in the family, break-up, etc etc. Do you just leave them and find new ones?

When I broke up with my ex, I needed my friends around. I was in a bad place.....! I knew then who my real friends were.

Okay maybe I should have wrote more than one sentence, nobody is suggesting you ditch you mate becuase his girlfirend has developed persistant headaches and is losing weight.

What I am saying is if one or more of you're friends is persistantly negative, that affects everyone around him/her including you and if they will not be helped or they do not agree with your new attitude to life and girls then some serious discissions have to be made.

I'm quoting a PUA here (can't remember which) when Oprah started losing weight she had to distance herself from her fat friends that were negative towards her decision, she said she would have given in had she not.

I lost a lot of friends when I decided to stop drinking everytime I go out and only drink when I feel like it, I found myself in the same boring conversation time and time again, you can't have a laugh when you're sober, which is fucking bollocks, fucking life and soul me when I'm sober.

Its almost as if there was envy, that I now had the confidence to not give a fuck and have a laugh with beutiful girls without the need to be pissed.

I don't know anything about you, your age/nationality. I posted a sentence that anyone should have readily available when bad shit happens to people. I didn't figure it out till I was twenty.

Cutting negative people out of your life is a necessary step of becoming successful. Not people going through bad times or depression. But chronically negative people who try to hold you back and drag you down. I have known people like this and they are not nice people. When they see you start succeeding they become jealous and spiteful rather that being happy for you.

yes BIG distinction between friends going through a difficult time and somone thats just there to drain you and isnt a positive influence in your life.

I have no people in my life that have a negative influence, but friends going through a hard time etc ive got plenty of time for.
