I should first mention I am a recently converting natural from being a canned material 'system' abuser, anyway I went out for a few drinks with some mates earlier and saw a stunning blonde. I thought fuck it I'll use a direct opener and just told her how hot she looked and she was totally my type. She just thanked me and I then realised I left her nothing more to say and just walked off. She seemed genuinely flattered too, and gave a good reaction so I felt like a twit later for not atleest saying anything else.

Normally when I approach girls i'll just use something situational and kinda skip the whole opening stage and go in from a frame of 'I already know you' it can and does work quite well but something weird I noticed is generally the 8s 9s and 10s seem to shut me out when I try this method (this trend has been far too apparent to be coincidence) hence the direct opening approach earlier. My question is how could of I made this better? Is it even worth so bluntly opening like this, maybe if I had just added 'I'm Chris by the way pleased to meet you' before she even had a chance to responde would that have been better?

I find it good to add in something along the lines of "I saw you from over there and just thought to myself I really want to talk to you so I came over to say Hi".
Then just introduce yourself with shit loads of eye contact and a smile. Do this properly and you'll be able to tell instantly if your in. If the approach is good she'll offer her name back with glazed puppy dog eyes. If it's not she might offer it back with a how am I going to escape this weird guy type body language, I have a bf, errm O.K, Riiiight or something similar.

You can plough through this, but I'm a bit lazy so don't bother in a club where there's girls everywhere.

This is my most used approach but I find my success will often be completely down to my body language, state and confidence so when I'm having a bad night and am the tiniest amount off cue, forget eye contact, have the smallest hesitation, am leaning in a little, come from wrong angles ect I can blow out sets all over the shop and find it hard to pinpoint exactly what I'm doing wrong and what to change, but if I'm having a good night and get it nailed early on I become fairly unstoppable and can successfully open anyone and everyone with it.

Thanks for your advice breaker, its difficult for me to try this approach because my ego is massive so even when I do find a girl attractive part of me feels like im giving my power away just by telling her so. That being said im sick of these indirect approaches. They do work for me, but I'd rather bridge through my next personal barrier, that is my ego of course. Peace and PUA.

Ye if your gonna tell a girl she's hot straight away, you want your frame to be "I came over because your hot, but now I want to talk to you to see if you personality matches, if it doesn't I'll happily leave" you can say lots of different things to imply this or you can just say it pretty much outright. So moving into normal conversation quickly is pretty important otherwise you just across as shallow and lame.

It's small little but significant factors like these I forget in field because truth be told I am just shallow. In the sense that my primary goal is to get very attractive girls, sure I have concern and consideration for personality in picking female friends and if I was seeking a relationship. But if it's a girl I was just seeking a one night stand with I couldnt give less of a fuck if she was intelligent or even interesting provided im balls deep in her by the end of the night that is.

So for this reason I forget to pay attention to the small ques that suggest im actually interested in her personality, since ultimatly I dont care, perhaps this is the issue and I need to change my target goals and this will provide me with a different frame/attitude in how to communicate with girls.
