So we all know the theory of peacocking, but how many of you here dress with an actual sense of style? E.g. the latest trends that do end up with a peacocking effect, without seeming like you are anything but up-to-date with fashion.

Also, share some pics! Maybe there was a particular outfit you wore on a night out that you think has a good style, or you seen the prince of persia collection from designers that you think is outrageous but cool etc.

What and compete with everyone one else in the bar, not my style.

Any typical bar will be full of fashion clones. I prefer 'who's that' and 'love your jacket, my name's sarah' rather than 'nice stylish, fashionable shirt, I've seen 5 the same tonight'

If rules permit one of the jackets I've worn:

Most of my stuff, or at least stuff I really like, is from River Island, I like the style there.

My best friend goes out in full Viven Westwood gear, usually has about 2ks worth of clothes on him.

Personally i dont really give a toss as long as i look reasonably nice--i usually go for some form of figure hugging shirt/tshirt to show that im in very good shape.

Personally I like Stuff from Firetrap, Diesel, D & G, Full Circle and All Saints mostly.

I find most of the simple/plain stuff from H & M seems to fit pretty well and hang right on me and be cheap as chips. Flashy belt buckles seem to give girls an excuse to check out the package which is usually a good thing.

As a general rule I think...either have a loud/flash shirt OR loud/flash jeans... never both at the same time. It pretty much always screams 'Try hard'. And you will have to 'try hard' to prove to randoms that you aren't a cunt. Then again some girl's go for the whole 'cunt look' so each to their own i guess.

Oh and I love charity shopping...it's a great way to find random weird interesting bits of clothing that no one else will have.

Oh and I'd say anyone with any game/banter at all should avoid those lame slogan t-shirts. I think they are for people that lack the ability to start conversations off their own bat. I always cringe when I see people out on the pull in that shit I always think 'make your own fucking joke dickhead!'

Haha yeah i get you Joker.

I tend to wear casual smart silver gray jeans with a tight fitting shirt (in fact thats exactly what I'm wearing now, as I'm about to go out ;] )

And I like to roll the sleeves up so it exposes my forearms.

I was with this girl when I was 18, she was 23 I think, and she said to me "You have really nice forearms" and I was like what? and as she described, there apparently is a vein that runs from the side of your forearms in a kind of bend by the elbow, that girls find attractive. No idea why. For those of you who don't understand, hold your hands out as if someone was inspecting the cleanliness of them, flip them over so your hands are palm upwards, then bring them to your shoulders. The bit of your forearm facing inwards to the body, there is a vein that can become quite pronounced. That one.

So yeah I tend to dress fairly smart with things that show of my physique in the least vain way possible.

Ha.... Least vain... Veins... Style... Health... You get the point.

I have a "musician" style I guess (because that's what I do in the evenings). Guess it's kinda Steve Tyler / Hendrix / rock'n'roll meets more modern day fashions.

I get the ASOS newsletter too though, and that has all of the designer catwalk shows, and I often piece together outfit ideas based on those kind of things, but with my own edge. Right now, my fingernails are painted gold from my gig last night. You may think "what a cockhole", but you have NO idea how many people opened me asking about them last night. Good shit
