Yo pudding faces, what's for desert?
Rebus is in da house...
I sympathise with this thread, as I've been going into restaurants with my camera and taking photos of the plates of food. I capture it just as the food is served. I just choose the best restaurants and most delicious looking, well presented plates of food.
I often try and appear in my photos - high-fiving the waiter, or arm around someone about to eat - along with a nice shot of the food. Oh yeah, did I not say? I never EAT this food, I'm not a diner - I drop into the restaurant, take photos as much as I can, until I get asked to leave, at which point I head onto the next restaurant of my planned route. As, come on guys, these are premium restaurants, way out of my league!
However, I know I'm onto a good thing as I have built up a huge online photo album of all my restaurant photo ops. Anyone browsing it thinks I'm a top diner, with loads of dosh, living the life at The Ivy, Gordon Ramsay's, Marco Pierre White's and many many more. It is the lifestyle image that I've always wanted, and now I'm living the dream! I've had comments on my photos asking if I'm a renowned restrauranteur like Michael Winner! I plan to write an ebook of my experiences, and an online friend said maybe Hollywood will get their hands on it and make a movie! Imagine! Hopefully Michael Winner will direct, then things will come full circle!
I'm almost at 1,000 photos! Took me three long years to build it up, but worth every moment, every rejection of a photo request, every barring from restaurant entry, every evening I spent moving alone from restaurant to restaurant. Indeed, any time that a diner felt it weird that I wanted to photograph their food and stopped me, it didn't upset me! No, my perseverance carried me through. I wasn't alone, I was with my camera.
