Breaker's comment is interesting because how people behave when they're living even for a short time abroad does allow them to do things they wouldn't normally do. I talked to a girl about this when I briefly lived in the Far East, who originally came from the States. She said she and a lot of girls she knew got up to stuff they'd never dream of back home where they'd be scared it might somehow get back to their parents or friends. Whether consciously or otherwise, some girls working or living abroad are willing to experiment. As they say, 'what happens in Vegas...', etc.

I think it's also true about having a willing fb or bisexual girlfriend based on personal observations. Not that I've ever gone on the prowl for other women with a girlfriend - I wish - but I can think of occasions where I've been out for a drink with a girl and we've wound up talking about other girls in the bar. On one or two occasions a girl you're talking about notices you're both paying attention to her, and think you're going to try to pick them up for a threeway. Instead of looking offended or threatened, on the few occasions I saw this, they looked hesitant, nervous but sort of turned-on too.

Case example; out for a drink with a girl who'd dressed a bit dykey that day (plaid shirt, jeans) and had very, very short hair (having shaved her head for an art project several months ago, it was growing back in, but still very cropped-looking). We sat in a bar and got talking about other people there for the sake of conversation.

Me: See that girl over there? The one we were talking about? She thinks we're checking her out.

SOG (sort of girlfriend): It's because she thinks I'm a lesbian.

Me: Yeah. (deliberately lean in towards my friend, while still looking towards this other girl across the bar, maybe twenty feet away, and slowly nod my head, as if me and my friend are agreeing on something. I can see the girl across the bar, lips slightly parted, cheeks flushed, sitting alone because her own friend had wandered off for a while. From the way her chest is moving, she's breathing a little heavily).

Unfortunately, my friend wasn't into threeways, at least not with a girl involved. Dammit. The girl across the bar was clearly waiting to see if one of us got up and approached her, but it never happened. BUT. The point is, I realized from that (and not dissimilar conversations with other girls in previous years) a certain number of girls out there on the streets and in bars are quite willing to consider the idea of a threeway, something a large number of them have fantasised about. Seeing even that little sliver of proof felt like a liberating discovery.

Thought I'd throw some real stats in here.

Generally studies have found that around 2-4% of both men and women(more men) identify themselves as bisexual.

A 2004 study found that 52% of women engage in bisexual activity that they enjoyed at some point in their life though. 46% for men.
