With this post I'm prompting direct-game advocates for investment

I tried a bunch of times going direct so far (foreword: I'm beginner). My pro-tempore conclusions:

• it takes lots of practice. Everything must be perfect from BL to expressions to tone to pauses to words, or she'll just go suspicious and negative and fuck off
• it just doesn't work in clubs, they'll fuck you off. Only in day game or where opening is unexpected
• it's hard to keep the conversation going after the compliment: she's still suspicious and you need to crack that
• even if you number close, she'll more likely flake

So natural guys: I do appreciate how genuine and outright it is, but how do you actually make it work? What do you say concretely (examples bring internalization)? What are the fundamental stages? What are the levers you play the most?

Well I am by no means a natural, but I will give you my thoughts none the less. I have only ever tried a direct approach once on my last night out (see my recent field report 'first time trying direct') and I am currently on a 100% success rate. I intend to go out this weekend and use it some more, although I fully anticipate that percentage to drop as time goes on!


In response to some of the points you made:

-It takes lots of practice.
Not in my case, I just got to the stage of the night where I didn't give a fuck. I did not give BL, tonality, expressions, pauses and so on a single thought. No fundamental stages.

-It doesn't work in clubs.
I was in a club at the time. I have not tried it in day game or anywhere else.

-She will get suspicious.
In my opinion this is more of a problem with indirect openers. The idea of direct game is to remove suspicion and just lay your cards on the table. She knows why you are talking to her from the off set.

-She will more likely flake.
This is a bit of a defeatist attitude. In my sole experience I got a close the same night and have seen her since. Hopefully some more experienced guys can comment on how flaky direct game is on the broader scale.


Personally I intend to use direct a lot more from now on as I struggle with indirect to build attraction and escalate kino, this came so much easier having gone direct. Keep field testing and find what works for you.

It takes as much practice as the indirect approach.
It works BEST in clubs, there seems to be a slightly more primal air to the place which lends itself well to powerful kino.
Gotta agree with whistleblower - it's less suspicious. She knows why you're there, what you're doing and what her options are.
And finally... regarding flakes. Yeah, if you do raw direct flash game she's not gonna be interested in seeing you again [Most likely]. But direct game where you throw in a few titbits to build comfort and a connection as well. There's no reason why you won't get a day2. There's plenty of time in direct to get all this stuff done anyway.

I believe you're only as strong as your weakest game. If you can never go direct then sooner or later this will kick you in the teeth. On the other hand if you can never be indirect then that'll damage your game just as much.

What's there to be suspicious of if you've already told her your intentions right off the bat?

If you go up to her and say something along the lines of "Hey, you so fucking adorable I could fuck you right now where I stand"

She's hardly going to suspect you of wanting to buy her a drink...
