whistleblower just put a post together where he said "id like to take you on a date" where as i would have said "im takin u on a date." my problem i find is whistleblowers wording probably is way more effective, a girl who isnt comfortable with you may defend against this with ARE YOU, instead of being intrigued... i always take things to the extreme... so yeah bein direct is the way, perhaps im too direct for alot of girls...

I wouldnt turn it into a question, too much sudden pressure, or actually go on a 'date'. (If the date is flowers and restaurant etc). 'Hey I'd like to take you on a date sometime' Is probably good as its a thing they expect guys to take them on but mentioned in a very direct way. The effect is probably similar to 'Lets get married' k-close.
