Recommended European countries for daytimePU by 55yo man during coronavirus upheaval? -
22-10-2020, 10:00 PM
Currently living in a remote part of Britain I tried staying in Southampton for a week but it's practically impossible, what with table-only rules and restrictions on "mixing" in cafes and pubs. Is there some other country in Europe (preferably not on the British quarantine index) that people would recommend? I'm most interested in daytime game.

There was a couple of lads thinking of going over to Poland but I think its gettng tougher there too.
I feel your pain though mate, im in the slightly older age group too, and where I live its 90% early 20 year old out, although haven't done to bad up until lately. Fucking frustrating.

Thanks Jeepster. Poland is on the British quarantine list though. Any country with a daytime cafe life partaken in by unaccompanied females aged 35-45 would do...or failing that, hotel bars that are open for mixing and don't have a table-only rule.
The list of European places not on the Brits' quarantine list:
Islands:
Cyprus
Gibraltar
and (not really in Europe but still European): Azores, Canaries, Madeira
Nordics and Baltics:
Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden
Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania
Plus:
Germany
Greece
Ireland

Difficult to say how the restrictions are affecting these places without being on the ground. But conditions being normal, I've heard Stockholm, Riga, Tallinn and Helsinki are meant to be good for women. Berlin might be another option in that it's quite relaxed, though people seem to love or hate the city. I do have a friend in Athens at the moment, it's still quite warm, not many people wearing masks outside, could be another good bet.
I'm looking to get away for a week myself, Warsaw was my first choice, but that might be difficult now. Tallinn I've been told has a picturesque medieval old town, it's quite small, but has lots of natural blonde women (which is appealing).

Update: I was just looking more into it, I think in most of those places you have to self isolate on arrival for 14 days, apart from Stockholm and Athens (at the moment anyway).

This is the issue, the bloody quarantine after. I get a week off every 4 and 5 weeks plus 5 weeks annual leave, so get plenty of time off to visit these places but quarantining on arrival or when coming home makes it a no no for me, pissing annoying, all that time off and cant do fuck all with it.

Greece sounds OK - random testing, and quarantine if the result is positive. I'd be fine with getting tested before flying, as required by Cyprus. With Sweden Time Out [url=http://www.timeoutcom/london/news/no-quarantine-countries-holiday-destinations-uk-travel-100220-102220]say[/url] there are no restrictions on entry. My only problem is a little bit of prejudice against Scandinavian culture, despite the large numbers of good-looking women in Sweden, having lived there for a year back in the day.
PS What am I doing wrong with the link? Tried to follow the instructions at [url]https://www.puaforums.co.uk/misc.php?do=bbcode[/url].

Tell us more, what didn't you like about Sweden? Funny enough, I know another guy who lived there for a bit and he wasn't that enamoured by it either.
